FSF - Phonemic Awareness Segment and Blend Syllables
The student will practice orally segmenting words into syllables by clapping the syllables of common food names.
Warm Up


Some food names can be divided into parts called syllables. Listen to me
do it, and then we'll do one together. After that it will be your turn.

Let's start with the word "candy." We can divide the word candy into two parts. Listen to me: "Can-dy." I'll clap for each part of the word. "Can" (clap), "dy" (clap). Put it together: "candy."
